I don't understand how this mounts. Does it mount in such a way where the door channel is not interrupted? I want to add doors to this which require a weather stripping but I have to make sure no brackets are interfering with the door channel for weather stripping?

The straps used to mount the windshield pass directly through the pre-drilled holes in the windshield to secure it to the vehicle bars. If the gap between your door and the bars is wide enough to accommodate the thickness of these straps, the installation will not be affected.
