Troubleshooting

1.The battery size doesn't fit my motorcycle. What should I do?

Please refer to our fitment chart to see if your motorcycle is listed as compatible. If your motorcycle type is not listed or if you cannot confirm the compatibility based on the provided details, please email our customer service team with the following information.
①The year, brand, model, submodel of your motorcycle.
②Original battery dimensions.

2.My battery won't charge. What could be the problem?

Please ensure you are using a charger specifically designed for lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. LiFePO4 chargers have a charging voltage of 14.4V, whereas lead-acid battery chargers only provide 12.8V. Please provide the specifications and a picture of your current charger for confirmation. Using a lead-acid charger for a lithium battery would be ineffective. Try using a proper LiFePO4 charger to see if the issue persists. If the problem continues despite using the correct charger, please email to our customer service team for assistance.

3.My battery isn't providing power to my motorcycle. What should I do?

Please verify that your motorcycle is compatible with the battery by providing its year, brand, model, and submodel. Check if the positive and negative terminals are connected correctly, as our battery’s polarity may be opposite to that of a standard motorcycle battery. Please confirm if you have tried fully charging the battery and if the charger used is appropriate for the battery type.

4.My battery's life seems shorter than expected. Is this normal?

As long as the battery is installed and used correctly, it should operate safely and efficiently. Our batteries feature a Battery Management System (BMS) that prevents safety incidents. Even at 30% charge, the battery should function normally once installed in your motorcycle, as the vehicle will automatically recharge the battery upon startup. Please check the battery level on the display panel. If it’s above 30%, the battery should work fine.

5.The battery's output voltage is too low, or the cold cranking amps (CCA) aren't sufficient for my motorcycle. What should I do?

Please email to our customer service team by providing specific details about your motorcycle, including the year, brand, model, submodel, and the Ah rating of the original battery. This will help us determine if the battery you purchased has an adequate Ah rating for your motorcycle. Currently, we offer batteries with 4Ah and 6Ah ratings.

6.How to extend battery life?

It is recommended to charge the battery when the battery level is below 30% to avoid over-discharge and damage, and to extend the battery’s lifespan.

1.What is the max charging current? will any lithium ion charger work?

The max charging current is 4Ah. A LITHIUM BATTERY CHARGER is required. Ideal to use a 14.6V LifePO4 charger for a full charge. A 12.8V charger may not fully charge the battery due to lower voltage.

2.Could you tell me the cold cranking amps on this battery?

Cold Cranking Amperage 320 A.

1.Given that bikes (at least mine) assume a led-acid battery, will the bike’s charging not damage the battery given it requires a Lithium charger?

Please know that the bike’s charging will not damage the battery given it requires a Lithium charger. Motorcycles manufactured since 2000 are compatible with lithium batteries, and the charging logic of lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries is the same, but lithium batteries have a higher cell density and require a higher voltage than lead-acid batteries, which is the main difference.

2.I am using a MCB-600012H01 battery that needs to be charged externally. What is max charge voltage and at what current? Is standard 4s lifepo charge voltage (14.4v) Ok? Is this in fact Lifepo cells?

MCB-600012H01 battery is a lithium iron phosphate battery(LiFePo4).
Charging Cut-off Voltage:14.6V
Standard charge current:6A(1C)
Max. pulse Charge Current:18A(3C)
The standard charging voltage:14.4-14.6V

3.Can a solar panel charge this battery and maintain the charge?

Yes, it can, but you should make sure the solar panel should be used with controller and provide proper voltage before connection to charge the battery. Please note the following key parameters when charging:
Charging Cut-off Voltage: 14.6V
Standard Charge Current: 6A
Nominal Voltage: 12.8V

4.In case of high/low temp, does the BMS cut out the battery instantly or slowly to prevent damage to connected electronics?

The BMS will cut out the battery instantly to prevent damage.

5.Can the posts be removed and turned upside down?

It is not recommended that you modify or adjust the battery structure on your own, as doing so may pose a safety risk during use.

6.When the BMS is tripped – how long does it take for the BMS to reset? Do you have to connect the battery to charger for the BMS to reset??

Different protections have different recovery times. For example, short-circuit protection recovery only takes 3 seconds, overvoltage protection takes 2-3 minutes, and overtemperature protection needs to wait until the internal temperature of the battery drops to a safe temperature before recovery.

1.How do they perform in cold temperatures?

The highest operating temperature of our battery is 78 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature is -19 degrees Celsius (could work for 6 hours under this condition).

2.The “Full Charge” led is lit orange. Is this normal?

When being fully charged, the orange light will go on, which is normal. As to the 30% 60% and 90% charging, the battery indicatior lights will have green lighting.

3.Does the BCM prevent the atv from charging it during cold weather riding?

When charging a lithium iron phosphate battery below -5°C, the viscosity of the electrolyte increases and the migration rate of lithium ions decreases, resulting in significantly reduced charging efficiency. If the BCM (Battery Control Module) detects that the charging current is consistently lower than expected for an extended period of time, it may trigger protection mechanisms such as current limiting or interrupting the charge.

Therefore, if the temperature inside the battery compartment falls below -5°C, the protection mechanism may be triggered, and it is difficult to accurately judge the corresponding ambient temperature and the impact of vehicle models.

1.What is the CCA of the battery?

The cold cranking ampere (CCA) of this 12V battery is 960A, ensuring reliable performance even in cold conditions.
